Volvo has announced plans to explore the possibility of charging buses electrified road while driving. The project is a joint initiative of the automaker and the Transport Administration Sweden, aimed at the development of environmentally friendly transport. The section of road will be built for testing in Gothenburg in the south-western part of the country.
Volvo is already testing system embedded in the pavement of electrical power rails for long-distance truck. The company also introduced the production of environmentally friendly electric buses are already cruising the streets of Gothenburg.
